Thank the gods for little favors—like I’m not into lace knitting. I have sock yarn, I have worsted weight, I have cottons, both functional and fancy, I have 85 shades of charcoal grey, I have mohair and some more mohair, I even have some stuff in shoe boxes stacked on bookshelves, but I only have 2 skeins of laceweight. Not bragging, just thankful. Now wait – - – does that kidsilk hazy type mohair count as laceweight? Aw, shit.

We might be soul sisters. I may not have enough lace to cover Canada but I surely have enough to knit every single person a hat. I discovered the extent of my shame yesterday (which caused me to only purchase two wee balls at Romni today — one was a gift, well seven, and six were gifts but the recipient of five of them was actually with me so they barely graced me with their presence). Perhaps we should get together, avoid yarn stores like the plague, and knit, knit like the wind until we can whittle our respective stashes down!

The only thing you left off that list of yarns up there was a partridge in a pear tree……..*S*

It’s a STASH! If I began listing my fabrics here, it would be even longer, and I’d have no idea when I purchased or what project I had in mind. Maybe I just liked the look of the fabric.

And that doesn’t mean you won’t come up with a pattern that you just love and don’t have any yarn for it. Be prepared.

I do love the Anne yarn too! As I read this it could very well be me writing about my yarn. I have several buckets, and I do mean buckets–the kind with huge lids–full of goodies. You are in good company madam! I have not purchased any yarn in months…can’t afford another bucket (only $4.00) and that is my excuse!!! Lovely pics.
